These post-Thanksgiving fluctuations are interesting. Blob down a bit, water up, muscle holding, but in a down. Long walk last night, went to bed before midnight because that’s what i do when it’s cold. We’ll just hold the course since that includes finishing up potatoes, green bean casserole and other yummy things. I don’t even know how long it’s been since Summer arrived, but she is finally coming out of her hiding place and hanging with the two big dogs this morning. Yesterday, she stole a toy and took it back to her lair. We’ll never know what monsters live in her head, but we seem to finally be moving past some of them. Once she starts playing with the others, it’s all over for any calm in the house. Not sure how I’m going to do a Christmas tree. Honestly, it might be best to do a small tree with lights only because i have a feeling it will fall at some point. Looking to establish a chaos baseline. Pics seem to be an hot mess still. Rotating them helps, but the sizing option has disappeared. iPad, not laptop. Another busy day. Onwards. It's hard for me to stay awake after it gets dark. I go to bed early, but am often up by 4am! My community has about 1800 homes and there is an annual decorating contest. People go crazy with lights and all kinds of decorations in the yard and on the roof. It's fun to drive around and look at the homes

I think you might be right about a small Christmas tree with just lights. I did one last year with lights and bows. Maybe you could try that?

Very festive pic! Glad Summer is coming out of her shell some more. Must be fun to watch sometimes despite the chaos. I'm sure you'll set some boundaries. x

Nikina, I’m scared to discipline her at all right now because she is so skittish. There are some things she really needs to work on, but I can’t even get her to sit because she freaks out. It’s going to take some one on one time. She knows her name, she likes to go for a walk and she even comes to her name sometimes. But if i touch her to make her sit, she freaks out. Down doesn’t exist and she panics if i have to grab her. Whatever happened, it was bad, but she’s making progress.

Perhaps a tree on a table? I'd imagine gifts under the tree will be a big NO also. Poor Summer, I'm so glad she ended up with you. Love the Christmas lights!!!

Aah, poor baby girl! She is in the best place though, so hopefully with time she will unlearn most of that fear. x
