Long walk last night, pushed it. It’s interesting how the pain moves, which is good in a weird way because it means it’s all little stuff and the stretching is doing something. Did ten minutes of rowing way too late and it woke me up too much and I couldn’t sleep when I first went to bed. I guess i need to make sure I do it earlier. Tonight is easy because it’s puppy class and if i don’t do it before, it won’t get done. I think that was row 15. We may make this a 60 day challenge, we’ll see. Depends on how much pool time I can get once it warms up. Walking is a given because of the dogs.

Muscle up, blob down, water good. I’ve been allowing myself some extra calories lately. Eating a lot of chickpea pasta with various proteins. Onwards.

Holding. More later, Mondays are just Mondays.

Edit: Great weekend as far as getting stuff done and moving my butt. Spent very little time on the computer or even sitting. Yesterday, I more than doubled my move goal, which i haven’t done in quite a while. I’ve been eating a lot of shrimp this week, probably need to dial it back a bit this week. Two of the three big projects are done. Last one will be complete at the end of the month. Planning on taking a week. We’ll see if I can make that happen.

Swim: 888 strokes, 10.2 METs, pretty good spread between zones. I did have to stop twice to rescue bees from the water, but it was way less than a minute combined. I’m still doing the thing where I’m relatively low effort until the last ten minutes, then, I’m working hard until I’m done. I’ll need to do sets to address that and I’m not sure that’s what I really feel like. Swimming is my zen time, so we’ll see. Maybe once it warms up I can introduce variety. We can play with sets much more easily in the rowing sessions. Got 5.9 METs out of a late twenty minute session, so not too shabby. Walking is just walking. Other than trying to not screw up my foot right now, it’s just time outside and moving that clears my head and lets me spend quality time with the dogs. I guess i should see if I’ve gotten better somehow. Doubt it because we have to stop at the same places and sniff every day. That is part of the journey.

Happy Sunday! Still not sunny, but a less dense cloud cover today. Hopeful we will get some sun midday.

It seems that I need to keep my walks under 3 miles, so that’s the plan for another week. Missing the canyon hikes, but that is not anywhere I want to get stuck and have to limp back home. Rowed #14, 30 minutes, even though it was a good workout, I think I need to adjust the damper as I’m only in the 3.4 METs range. Which is good as I’m improving, but not good as I now need to take it up another notch. It is good to know that my body is still responsive to hard work as I age. You can, it’s just harder and takes longer.

We did get to the park in daylight and enjoyed the grass a bit. I miss my quiet weekends. They always feel so rushed lately.

Numbers are a little weird. Yes, down overall, but down everywhere. Blob, muscle and water. We’ll see where it is tomorrow.
